* Welcome to the PSA first informational site. We as members of The Political Science Academy are proud to share our club and the events that we hold on this site. The page was created specially for members of the PSA, people in the Political Science major or minor and students interested in becoming an active member of the club.

* As a major or minor in the Political Science Department you are signed up already as a member of The Academy. All you as the student  have to do is come to your first meeting to become an active member!

* Perks of being a member of this club are as follows.

1) Being an active member in the Political Science Department.

2) Performing important public services acts. Examples being food drives, raising awareness about important political issues in your community, informing people about candidates that are running for office in the area and in national elections as well.

3) The fact that you are being active in your department looks good on either a resume or an application to graduate school in the future.

4) You can learn more than you can in the classroom sometimes, because you are putting  all of your skills into the actual field that you have chosen to go into!

5) There are many fun trips to take with The Political Science Academy as well. Right now there is a trip to the State House happening in a few days so feel free to come and join us for a great learning experience! This trip will be very helpful for members either specializing in American Government or either taking the majority of their classes in that for their minor.

* In the end being in this club will be able to show you that Political Science is not inly used in a government setting, but in many other fields, ranging from law to social work.
